OK! Here's how it's done

Although the electrons reverse direction 60 times per second, they still move through the light and cause it to glow. This connection has voltage, current, and resistance. so!
V / R = I. Take your calculator and do the following:

* Enter a 120 for 120V.
* Press the divide by key.
* Enter 240 for 240 ohms.
* Now press the equals key.
On a piece of paper divide 120 by 240.

You have just found the amount of current in the bulb. This will be the amount of current in the wire and through the switch when it is closed. The bulb will convert electrical energy to light energy.

Now go back and answer that question again!
