OK! Here's how it's done


The 9V battery will cause electrons or current to flow through the wire. At the same time the resistance or resistor will slow down the movement of electrons or decrease current. Voltage, resistance, and current are related by:
V / R = I. Take your calculator and do the following:

* Enter a 9 for 9V.
* Press the divide by key.
* Enter 1000 for 1000 ohms.
* Now press the equals key.
On a piece of paper divide 9 by 1000.

You have just found the amount of current in the wire. This will be the amount of current in the wire and the resistor. Electrons will slow down all around the circle.

Now go back and answer that question again!
